From Nov. 1st through Dec. 29th, the Joffrey Ballet will perform at Auditorium Theatre, the holiday classic, "The Nutcracker." Set to the choreography of Christopher Wheeldon and the music of Peter Tchaikovsky, the show takes you inside Chicago's 1893 World's Fair. When young Marie and her mother, a sculptress who is creating the fair's iconic Statue of the Republic, host a holiday party, a surprise visit from the Great Impresario sets off a Christmas Eve dream filled with whimsy and romance.
