The Canadian War Museum is Canada's national museum of military history. The Museum features exhibits explaining all facets of Canada's military history from past to present. Some 13,000 pieces of art are on display, in addition to interactive presentations and an extensive artifact collection which includes military vehicles, artillery, and photographs. The Museum is also home to Memorial Hall, which was designed to provide rest and reflection to visitors by featuring a headstone of an unknown soldier from WWI. Sunlight through the Hall's only window directly illuminates the headstone every Rememberance Day, Nov. 11 at 11 AM.
