In honor of the victims who died during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, a memorial was placed near the Baltimore Inner Harbor. The Memorial pays special tribute to the rescuers, victims, first responders, and the 67 Maryland residents who lost their lives that day. Located adjacent to the Baltimore World Trade Center, the Memorial features artifacts from the Pentagon and Ground Zero site, as a symbol of remberence, bravery, and hope.
