The NFL and Chicago Bears are both celebrating their 100th seasons this year. To celebrate the historic occasion, instead of hosting the traditional league opener at the home of the previous season's Super Bowl champion, the NFL will be hosting this year's opening matchup at Chicago's Soldier Field with a game between the Bears and Green Bay Packers on September 5th. The NFL will also offer a free fan event that day at Grant Park. It will include concerts and a viewing party of the game.
