The 16th Street Mall is a mile-long pedestrian plaza in downtown Denver that offers shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Designed by famed architect I.M. Pei, the promenade is made of red, white, and gray granite to resemble the skin of a Diamondback rattlesnake.
