Founded in 1971, the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center "JACCC" offers educational programs to promote Japanese and Japanese American culture. JACCC is home to the Aratani Theatre which hosts performances by local, national, and internal artists. The center also offers a unique visual and cultural arts program which engages the community through year-round exhibitions and events. Also offered throughout the year are family-friendly events, such as the L.A. Ukulele Expo, Nisei Week Japanese Festival, Little Tokyo Book Festival, and Fiesta Matsuri.
