Pershing Square is in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, bounded by 5th Street to the north, 6th Street to the south, Hill Street to the east, and Olive Street to the west. The public park features an open and elevated ayan-style amphitheater, a grove of orange trees, and a large river rock-lined circular fountain.

Special events are held at the park throughout the year, including the Pershing Square Downtown Stage, a six-week summer concert series with free music, films, and events. Holiday events are offered at the end of the year, including an outdoor skating rink and a snow laden Winter Holiday Festival.

Pershing Square also offers recreational programs for all ages. Free Zumba and Yoga classes are available in the Community Room. There is also a chess area, pet area, and hanging wall garden. A Farmers Market and Food Truck Friday lunch events are held weekly.
