The Richards DAR House Museum is an Italianate style townhouse in Mobile, Alabama that was built during the antebellum period. The historical home was turned over to the city in 1973, and since then has been leased and managed by the five Mobile Chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The house is furnished and featured as a Period House Museum, magnificently decorated with carved Carrara marble mantels, double parlors, and a reception hall with massive chandeliers. In addition to a museum, the house is often used as a reception hall for special and private events.
