The California State Railroad Museum is dedicated to promoting the history of railroad technology and innovation in California. The museum features 21 restored locomotives and railroad cars, dating back to 1862, and a reconstruction of the 1870s-era Central Pacific Railroad passenger station. In addition to exhibits, the Museum offers on weekends from April - September, excursion train rides along the levees of the Sacramento River.
