The Pacific Union Club is an exclusive social club that is located at the top of Nob Hill. The club was founded in 1889 following the merger of the Pacific Club and Union Club. The clubhouse is located in the old Flood Mansion, and is the only standing structure that survived the San Francisco earthquake and fire of 1906. The club has had many prominent members, including Caspar Weinberger, William Randolph Hearst, Jr., William Randolph Hearst III, David Packard, and Charles R. Schwab.
