Centre Island is one of three primary Toronto Island destinations. The island is between Ward's Island on the east and Hanlan's Point on the west. The island is more popular compared to its neighbors due to its fountains, formal gardens, Centerville Amusement Park, a pier that extends into Lake Ontario, a sandy beach, picnic areas, Franklin's Children's Garden, Artscape's Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts, the Gibraltar Lighthouse, restaurants, and a bridge to Olympic Island. There is a ferry ride to Centre Island every 10-15 minutes from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal.
